The Point Arena Lighthouse Wind & Whale Celebration returns!  We are happy to welcome back the always entertaining Berkeley Kite Wranglers flying their amazing kites over the Light Station, and will hope that the charming gray whale mothers and calves will still be swimming by the Light Station peninsula.  We are also happy to have Scott & Tree Mercer of the Mendonoma Whale & Seal Study on hand to answer questions about the marine mammals that frequent our coast.  Scott and Tree will have many fascinating displays and information about whales, particularly the migrating gray whales.    Visit the Whale Watch Room for great views of the migrating whales, and posters and display that describe the varied species found in the ocean outside its windows. Check out the Whale Trail interpretive panel next to the California Native Plant garden that showcases the marine mammals that frequent the waters that surround the Light Station. The Light Station Store will be offering sale prices on whale related gifts and other items.  Finally, we will also be offering waffles, including gluten-free, and assorted organic baked goods from THE FARM for purchase in the Fog Signal Building Museum.
